Netscape Communications
1996 Annual Report

The Job
Netscape’s Creative Director Hugh Dubberly wanted the company’s 1996 annual report to serve as a “leave-behind” marketing piece for potential customers as well as a yearly statement of revenues. He hired me to manage the creation of both print and online versions of the report.

The Solution
The catchword “Net Results” established the company’s new focus on enterprise software; Netscape’s customers were looking for a competitive advantage from their networks. The stellar graphic motif echoed a recent redesign of Netscape.com. The Web version of the report (coded by Web developers Spotted Antelope) used the new features of dynamic HTML to present financial charts as they’d never been seen on the Web before.
