The Job
Print magazine asked me to cover new media issues in a bimonthly column for its audience of designers, who worked mostly in traditional media.

The Solution
From mid-1998 until mid-1999, I wrote the “Design and New Media” column, focusing on Web design as it related to broader design issues.

Topics included:
• The need for collaboration in new media
• Experimental navigation systems
• Why do Web design?
• The stagnation of interactive design trends
• The coming of “Web appliances”
