Leap Frog Intranet Application
Usability Reviews

The Job
Prior to launching some project management applications on their intranet, Leap Frog asked me to do a quick, pre-launch review of the applications' interfaces. In these week-long projects, I gathered information about the sites' users and goals from the project managers, then ran through each page of the interface to find areas where tweaks to interfaces and processes could improve the user experience.

The Solution
For each application, I presented a report that suggested new approaches for global elements such as navigation and page names, plus page-by-page lists of suggested changes. The reports including wireframes for new interfaces when appropriate. In keeping with Leap Frog's goals, the suggestions were all geared to the short term—changes that could be accomplished with minimum engineering time but with a high payback for the user experience.
